  • We purchased our home 4 weeks ago, and our a/c went out...thinking it was the thermostat, we had that replaced. It wasn't the 'fix', so we called Bob Brown. Their tech came out on Saturday morning, with a $89 service call, to tell us that to repair our unit would be $1200, but that he would recommend a new unit to sufficiently cool our home. A salesman followed him, to tell us that he would recommend a unit that came to $11,800...since our unit was 11 years old, and would probably just keep failing, part after part. Thankfully, we were denied financing by their lender, but the salesman said that his "boss" would get us financed on Monday, and left us with a mobile cooler to make it through the weekend, since they didn't have the parts needed to mend our unit for the $1200 quote... I contacted the friend that did the thermostat, and he put us in touch with Art Cox, of Art Cox Services, LLC. Art listened to what we were told was wrong with our unit (motor and fuses), and gave us a quote of $385 or less, sight unseen. Art's business is in Litchfield, AZ ... we are in Florence, AZ. Art came out, got up on the house Sunday afternoon in blistering triple-digit heat, and found that he didn't have the correct motor for our Lenox unit. He went BACK to his shop, returned and finished up the job, sticking to his original quote of $385 to put our home back in the cool zone. Needless to say, we bumped up that bill to compensate this HONEST man for his work and trouble. Instead of the $11,800 or the $1200 repair that Bob Brown tried to stick us with, we were more than happy to recommend calling ART COX SERVICES for any and all a/c and heating problems. I will never, ever, recommend such a shady business as Bob Brown. And if I had Yelped them and seen the previous review, I wouldn't have bothered.
