Part of the lower rating may be my love for Bar Volo, which this really doesn't compare to.
Big plus is the always extensive beer list, loved the sours, the unique bottles available, service is good as well. And it is nice to get table service which Bar Volo didn't have.
Downsides, it was loud, dark (so was bar volo to be fair) but the dark and the shape meant no way to see the beer menu easily.
The canned seafood options at those price points are only partially redeemed by the high quality bread. But it's hard to feel good about spending that much on a tin of octopus.
I'll go back for the beer, but I'll eat first elsewhere which means I won't be back as often. Which is a shame.
