| - I honestly cannot say how the rooms here are. I never made it that far. At check in, after pre paying the full amount for two rooms, the check in clerk noticed that I had grabbed my expired rather than current ID, admittedly a big oops on my part, but I don't really have a fix for something like this at 10p.m. on a Sunday night when my house is in a different state. The room was booked in my name with my credit card and the problem was that they wouldn't take my ID with my credit card so I couldn't pay the $100 deposit per room on the card. The clerk said if we came back with a card in my husbands name he could try and get the situation resolved so we spent two hours going to the store and getting another card to try an check in. When we returned they wouldn't take that card either (he has a valid ID, but the card was generic). We went to the ATM to pull money out and came back with the $200 deposit looking to put the stress of the night behind us. Our kids had been travelling all day, two of them had thrown up in the car at this point and the baby was screaming in the lobby of the hotel. The two year old wasn't far behind due to exhaustion. When we restarted the check in process yet again the manager said they now needed $200 dollars per room for a deposit if we were paying in cash, which brought our total to five times the original amount of both rooms combined. Why the payment method would change the deposit amount is beyond me. They were only authorized for $100 on my card no matter the damage, it's not like they could have charged more than that. At that point my husband asked to talk to the main hotel manager since the whole situation seemed insane. We though perhaps we could work things out with them. Instead we were greeted a few minutes later, while sitting with our exhausted children, by the head of security. This was an absolute joke. It's obvious the whole staff here is more concerned with dollars, and numbers/rules than people. We weren't even treated like human beings during the ordeal. That is when I did what I should have done in the first place and called the Comfort Inn.
