| - Complaint regarding Dr Larry Sobel, his PA Becky whom I've been seeing since I moved here in 1999, has been the most caring, patient PA one could ask for, I am a RN and was exposed to the Influenza virus in 2008, I started having neurological problems, she did everything she could for me, test, meds blood work, till she finally found a med that worked, I was able to walk and the body tremors settled down, I was greatful as I was able to work and sleep which I couldn't do due to the pain and constant body movements, I've been on this med since with a improvement to my quality of life as initially I had none, well Becky has now left the Sobel Practice and now I have to see Dr Larry Sobel, I was in tears going to my appt upset that I wasn't going to see Becky as I have since been diagnosed with Cancer she offered on her day off to come with me to see the Oncologist, also crying because I had to see Dr L Sobel, whom I've dealt with professionally and now on a personal matter, he abruptly came in the office, did no examination, refused to order my med that has allowed me to LIVE these past few years also, a drug that you ween off not stopped abruptly, he knew nothing of my history or even why I was on the drug, but was quick to order my thyroid med before the blood test of my thyroid level was available, he offered no solutions, compassion, did not ask about my Cancer, the worst attitude I've seen which ended up in me walking out as he complained about how busy he was, with documenting, paper work, and had said to me at one time I don't care I have so many patients. I smartly said back with that attitude and loosing Becky you won't for long! Being a Cancer patient you would think he would have at least asked how are you? Do you need anything? I got nothing but grief, I again explained that without the med I can't function normally, he did not care! Gave me a script for one month and was told to find another Dr. I've never been so embarrassed being a Nurse, and as a patient that he could treat patients that way, I feel if you're so overwhelmed with your patient load that the patient is not important, I had other issues I wanted to discuss but it would have been a waste of time, that maybe he should find a job that he can enjoy treat people with respect, we come to you for help not grief, and I'm sorry that you're overwhelmed, but we come to see you because we have needs, not to be belittled, and yelled at. As I say I've been going to that office only because of Becky, but I have never seen so many staff come and go as I have there! As for busy the office was empty except for 1 other person. Do your research I've worked in the profession for 40 years and have yet to have met a Dr that rude! And uncaring.
