| - Stopped by for a quick catch up with a friend! Darkhorse is trendy with a modern, minimal aesthetic and nice wooden table tops. However, as is the case with many cafes, finding a seat was difficult. The cafe had two large shared tables and many of the people were studying. If you're looking for a private table, you won't find one here. The location is excellent, with close proximity to both downtown core and Chinatown. Given the location, the line can get long at times and the cafe can be quite crowded.
In terms of the drinks, I ordered a Cappuccino. The prices are fairly typical of a cafe in Toronto but the espresso was truly enjoyable and there are options to add flavor (caramel, vanilla, etc). The drinks are made with beautiful latte art and service is great. I ended up ordering using the app Ritual and it worked out great. They have a number of exclusive deals for cheaper orders.
4/5, would absolutely go again! In short, really great espresso, nice atmosphere but difficult to sit down with people. Great spot to go alone or to grab a quick coffee to go.
