| - This place is probably the best place to get bubble tea in Pittsburgh, much better than Rose Tea Cafe, Everyday Noodles, Chengdu Gourmet, etc. So, it is OK. But it is still not perfect. Perplexingly, the staff put hot tapioca pearls straight out of the cooker into my iced beverage, causing it to reach an equilibrium temperature of room temperature. At least the texture of said pearls was good (unlike other bubble teas I've tried around Pittsburgh). The taste of the matcha latte I got was okay, but not great and a bit too sweet. Fortunately, the "make your own bubble tea" thing allows you to specify the desired level of sweetness as well as a vast array of other options, so I will give that a try next time.
Update: I tried making my own tea with "light" sweetness. The tea itself was the right sweetness, but the tapioca pearls were still tongue-numbingly sweet. Oh well, I suppose Americans and most normal human beings like excessively sweet things, so I have no doubt this place will be quite successful.
