| - Inside an enclosed MLB park, good view of the game from the front row tables and decent food covered buy half the cost of your ticket; For the concept alone this should be a five, no, six star review. Unfortunately the reality plays out a bit worse than it should. Lets start with service. What is the point of tipping the server after a meal? To reward good service? To motivate the server to do well? Well, with a 20% built in gratuity what have we got? Exactly.
The menu. Smaller by about 1\2 of the standard Fridays with none of the discounted combo meals. And the prices? Jacked up. OK so now lets do the math. $60 per ticket, $30 goes to food. Oh, it only goes toward food. I didn't know that. The gratuity and tax aren't covered. The tickets were $120 for myself and the wife. We ordered $60 worth of food and beverage and, surprise, still owed $18 at the end of the evening. Kind of pricey and not worth it.
Extra innings. I'm a Mets fan but you gotta hand it to this young and talented DBacks team. D Wright is the most overrated player in the big leagues today. The Fridays Front Row seats should swivel, but don't, and since they are reserved, ticket holders should not have to chase people from those seats when they arrive. Remember. Its Fridays. You know that before you purchase. If you go on fireworks night, move your fanny to an infield lower level seat. Otherwise the view is almost completely obscured. Remember. Its Arizona. The most convenient stadium exits will be blocked by guards until, if ever, they are told to open them.
