Review is strictly from bar.
I was really pleased with the ambiance this place had to offer. The exposed brick walls and backlit bar offered a super low-key aesthetic. Their gothic details throughout the bar (like the castle looking door as a table) was very fitting and eye catching.
The location is great for drinks before dinner (or drinks AND dinner.) The bar itself is small as is seating, but there TVs if you want to watch sports. The menu seems geared towards bar food.
Their beer list was excellent in regards to variety! I was overly pleased when I saw a unique Allagash beer on the menu (whereas most places are choosing the brewery's "bread and butter" sellers, Growlers chose a coffee porter from Allagash that is nothing short of perfection. Props to Allagash, and hats off to the person who orders beer!) There were other beers on the menu that also caught my eye, and the prices were what I'd consider normal for craft beer.
Our server was attentive, always sure to check if we needed anything.
Looking forward to another visit.
