| - I was faced with an impossible situation with only a week to figure it out. I am producing and performing in a period piece, music video next Wednesday. I needed 17 costumes from the colonial era. Wigs, dresses, corsets, the works. Mozart-style. I didn't shop around because even I knew that American Costumes is the #1 costume shop in Las Vegas. I don't have time to waste so why start with #two?
I've spent the last few days coordinating this order with Tina and Marty. They've been absolutely incredible. I can't say enough about their hospitality, passion for their craft and overall friendliness in helping my entire team. I picked up the costumes today and they were fresh, clean, and packaged safely. Tina even helped me carry the 15 or so bags out to my truck in 110 degree heat.
I've read a few other reviews and while there are positive reviews, there are a few negatives. I'm floored that people have complained. The few I read are pretty stupid. Who walks into a high-end costume store carrying a cup of hot coffee? And then bitches about it when the owner asks to leave it outside? What's next? A Taco Bell combination plate? If I was the owner and I had this type of rare inventory, not only would I not allow people in the store with food/drink, I would stay glued to their side 24/7. Vegas can be a strange town and you can't trust anybody. I would be overly cautious myself. If that's too difficult for a customer to understand, next time purchase a costume online from a Chinese website.
To reiterate, Tina and Marty really saved our lives with their solid inventory, great pricing and great customer service. Highly recommended.
