I'm probably biased from all my San Francisco dumpling eats. But I did take out one night when I was in Madison for work.
FOOD: I got XLB and Haus noodle soup with pork. XLB were pretty good - harder for me to judge because they are a hard take out food. But they come with a nice vinegar-y dipping sauce and I thought dough to meat ratio was good. Noodle soup - also a hard take out food. The pork was tasty. I like that there were a lot of veggies too. But the noodles were just ok - nothing exciting.
I saw some bao come out and they looked tasty. Wish I had gotten some to try.
SERVICE: About what's expected from such a casual mall restaurant. Since I did take out, I can't comment any further.
ENVIRONMENT: Located in Hilldale mall, the restaurant is very casual. Order at the counter, grab your number, and take a seat. There's tables and some seating at the bar. Nothing fancy.
