I had the fantastic time of going to see the ballet this Saturday. The performance was a set of three ballets in the last one was the West Side Story Suite that had singing as well as dancing. It was a fantastic early Saturday activity.
I think my favorite ballet out of the three that I watched would be in the night. This ballet had music by Chopin and it was just beautiful. They even had a piano pick player right on stage with the dancers. The music was captivating, relaxing, and just beautiful. The dancing that went along with the music was on point and just amazing. It was lovely to see the three sets of dancers and how they moved with the piano music. I love the simplistic background because it didn't distract from anything that the dancers nor the musician was performing.
The West Side Story Suite was also fantastic I love the upbeat music and the fast paced dancing. I really liked how they cut down West Side Story but still made it like the original.
If you are able to I would suggest trying to get to the Benedum to see the last performance of these three ballets. Tell me which one you like the best and we can compare notes.
