| - I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rachele! I had been box-coloring my hair for years (I got my first greys before my teens) and it was super black. The very first time I went to see her, I wanted to explore the possibility of highlights, really get a "second opinion" on the process because the last person I went to said I'd have to do a $400-$500 "color correction" to get it done. Rachele looked at my hair and said I absolutely could have highlights, without damaging my hair with a color correction process, and showed me the shades and options. She KNOWS her stuff when it comes to hair! She was able to break down my hair type, how to repair damage, styling tips, cut, color, and a plan if I wanted to go lighter later.
She really listened to what I wanted--she was the only stylist I have been to who did not pressure me to cut my length, but really wanted me to have the look and style I wanted. She recommended some caramel highlights, a trim to fix the split ends, and some layering. She totally nailed what I was going for! And she used this conditioning treatment and products that made my hair feel luxurious, not just when I left the salon, but for days afterwards.
A few visits in, I noticed she had a side bang that looked great, and I commented on it, and she indicated she could give me the same. I trusted her and it came out amazing. She took the time to explain how to style it and get it to lay the way I wanted, and showed me how I could style my hair without the bang if I wanted. It was such a versatile cut that gave me room for a lot of styles, curly or straight. She also took the time to show me tricks with a curler or straightener, and give me tips on how to address my ends, which are coarse and can be difficult to style.
Aside from how knowledgeable Rachele is, what I love most about her is how easy she is to talk to. She quickly hones in on what her client is about and is genuinely interested in talking to them and getting to know them. She and I have had wonderful conversations and she is a genuine, warm person with a huge heart and a sincere desire to do a good job and make the client happy. I really look forward to my appointments every 6 weeks and she makes me feel pampered and important every time. I have to also say that her prices are amazing for everything you get and the amount of time she spends with you.
I also love the vibe in the salon, and the friendliness of the staff. I have never walked into that place without someone immediately offering me something to drink, guiding me to my seat, and alerting Rachele that I am there. Every person there is engaged in conversation with their customer and nobody rushes through their services. The girls are all super-fun and you can tell they all genuinely like each other.
So, no more box coloring for me!! Going to see Rachele has become the little thing I do "for me," a little break in the craziness. I highly recommend her.
