| - I love this place and I wish it was closer to me but it's completely worth the trip. It's located in the building next to Beachwood Mall, the one that houses the newly opened Container Store. I came here on a Friday evening and the vibe of this place is fantastic! There's so much seating available inside, along the entrance of the cafe within the complex and their patio outside. That's not to say it wasn't busy, it was, but it didn't feel too packed, it wasn't noisy and the music played at a pleasant volume.
This place took over for Peet's and they do it so much better. The decor is wooden but modern. The baristas are very personable and helpful. They were completely willing to answer all of the questions my friend and I asked, regardless of whether they were ridiculous (my friend wanted to grind some coffee but was a bit confused about the process/cost).
The pricing of the drinks is comparable to those of Starbucks, possibly $0.50 or more expensive across the board but it's worth it. The quality of the cofee seems better than your average Starbucks drink. After questioning the barista about all of the latte and mocha drinks (because again, I don't drink "adult" coffee - bring on all the milk and flavors), I got a large Black and White Mocha to drink while there. It was delicious, not too sweet. For $4.70 I got to sit back and sip my coffee with a friend while waiting for my phone to charge. That's a huge bonus, outlets everywhere to be used by the patrons!
This is the type of place you can come to hang out with friends or come and get some serious work done. I saw more than a few people with laptops and notebooks strewn about.
Their coffee menu is extensive, both the esspresso and latte drinks as well as the types of grounds. I'm definitely coming back and I encourage you to stop by as well! Not only is the coffee and atmosphere great but you can definitely make a day of it if it's a bit of a drive for you - go to Beachwood Mall, Legacy Village, and/or Whole Foods and Eton Chagrin Boulevard which is only one 5 or so miles away!
