  • This was the best restaurant meal I've ever had, better than anything in my city. I've yet to visit Chicago, NYC, or California though, so I know it's only a temporary place holder. There's that identifying marker of a great restaurant where everything is perfectly balanced, not too salty, sweet, acidic, etc. I can only count a handful of restaurants that fit that bill. When we arrived they had asked us whether we were going to see a show, which we were and we had a 2 hour period before that was an issue. Since they made this a big deal, we assumed they had a system. We ordered the 5 course instead of the 10 course due to time restraints. We were informed this would work out well for our time limit. Everything went fine, everything was great. Then there was a giant lull between the third and the main course. Which was okay, because we had very large drinks and lots of bread and butter to consume. A couple that had arrived there an hour after us started complaining about where their main course was. There was a large 12-15 top there. Then they brought the pre-dessert balls, and we asked where our main course was. He apologized, and out came the main course, quickly after that the pre-dessert, the dessert from the menu and then then a plate of macarons, jellies, etc. In a matter of 5-10 minutes. All of that would have been fine, except the main course was cold. The A5 Wagyu that was $35 an ounce on top of the price of the normal dish itself was suppose to be medium rare, but was well past medium. It was all brown on the inside. It was still tender, but I've had hundreds of pieces of meat better than that. Even the Buffet down the hall's prime rib was better. The croquette was soggy and obviously cold. It became apparent that they had basically forgotten to server our main course, but we didn't have time to worry about it. Probably sat on the pass for a while. I'm assuming due to the larger table. Of course, we were about 10 minutes late to our show, where our friend informed us we missed the beginning that was the best part.
