Fails to adhere to hotel policies as noted on Expedia.
I made an error in booking a reservation. Within the 48 hour cancellation deadline I needed to make a change. According to hotel cancellation policy on Expedia you'd lose your first day's cost plus taxes and fees, about $100... I was prepared for this. HOWEVER, what they told me was because I'd made the reservation through a third party (Expedia) I'd lose the entire reservation as no changes were allows, none at all. I pointed out the hotel policies on Expedia don't mention third party reservations and added I was fully prepared to pay the 1st day costs.
To no avail, doesn't matter.
