| - DO NOT GET NV ENERGY THERMOSTAT! Although very nice technician from POWER SHIFT (Side of NV Energy Company who installs their thermostats), he installed the thermostats during winter time, I remember him testing it and even showing me how to work it. Fast forward to summer and before i turned my unit on, I called the AC company I use to do their standard maintenance. As AC tech checked the unit, he found a few things wrong with the unit, 1 some of its internal wires were fried, 2 because of it, my compressor also end up dying. To my "luck" my AC warranty didn't cover the compressor and fixing/replacement of wires, they claimed negligence because when they were here last time (to winterize the unit) their procedure is to completely shut the unit off by removing it's fuses from the wall (because my unit is a unit that runs with water, during winter the water gets shut off to prevent freezing in it's pipes/coils, and as the water gets shut off, the power also gets shut off to preventing it from running without water) technician noticed he unit had power running as well as the fuses were back in place. Reluctantly I paid my AC Company and have since been trying to get reimbursement from NV Energy, since they were the last one who touched the unit. I've been arguing with supervisors since May, a lot of back and forth, and even trying to get away from paying for their negligence, we agreed that first NV Energy supervisor was first going to reach out to my AC company and would then call me back. Two months have passed and I still haven't heard back, I've called numerous times, and each time they say a supervisor was going to call me back.
Beside the point that you don't have full control when using their Thermostat where they will put your settings up to 85 degrees no matter how many times you change it. Their customer service absolutely sucks.
