  • 10/1/16- updated review, two months since leaving and still haven't gotten refund check thAt was supposed to be received no later than 30 days after move out.. this place is some work.... You know at this point I'm really torn about Timberlake apts. aka "80 on Gibson". Leme tell ya lil sumthin.. We moved here from out of state, but we are previous residents of LV so we had seen this property a couple of years ago and were familiar with the area..Upon our move The leasing staff was really helpful, accommodating, and super on top of their game. That was then, this is now...seems since the property has changed hands the communication has gone to the toilet literally.... I first wanna thank the weekend staff in the leasing office for being expedient and professional (Paul is the best and I also appreciate the young lady running the office on weekends, I apologize for not catching her name). The two of them handled the situation The way I expected it to be handled, prompt, professional, and courteously. We unfortunately had the displeasure of attempting to place a work order to maintenance to address the water soaked drywall in the shower/bathroom which progressed into a leaking ceiling and completely gross mildew smell permeating throughout the apt. This leak not only was evident in the bathroom but spread into our bedroom closet ceiling.. It was obviously originating from upstairs & behind the walls..Keep in mind we Reported this in early April, and maintenance came by that day, (not Paul) looked at it, immediately went upstairs, came back down in 10/15 min to tell me personally "we will fix it first thing tomorrow". Ok, well that was the LAST time I saw the maint person, that was the first week in April....it now the second week of MAY.. Now I'm a pretty reasonable & understanding person and I know sh&$ happens but c'mon, you don't even bother to follow up, "where they do that at?" We call to follow up after 3 weeks, no answer.. Call the following week and speak to the leasing manager and he acts like he'd rather not be bothered.... Wow, John L, I'm rather disappointed now. You asked "is that it" when we explained the situation to you and how your maint team dropped the ball on a potential worsening issue to the integrity of the building including our living space... I guess with all the renovations got you "thirsty" and you forgot to put the work order in, including your professionalism??? Not to mention We were informed the original work order was "closed"...WAT!!! How can u close a work order that was never addressed??? Keep up the Shenanigans and you will regret your actions...quality tenants will leave here due to the dishonesty and piss poor communication. I don't expect you to part the Red Sea, but I do expect you to do your job when a tenant Makes you aware of an UNRESOLVED ISSUE.. but anywayz, We were told that maintenance would address this and several other "minor issues" first thing Saturday morning, (which never happened) due to the "Leasing Manager" failing to follow through or up on his word.. this lack of due diligence is a poor reflection on this property and shows a lack of concern in resolving an issue when brought to the attention of the Manager (purposely done expecting results ) .... It prompted me to make a stop by the "temporary" office to speak with the weekend staff about this inconvenience and my disappointment with the shortcomings in resolving this situation after it was brought to his attention, after all I'd like people to know about this..(Paul; wknd maint, & the attentive & helpful leasing agent DESERVE Commendation and promotion, thank you both sincerely for doing your best to address my concerns and "hearing me out") I'm writing this to let people know how John L. gets down and how We don't appreciate it, and how we feel completely let down by you personally..thank you for letting us know how little we are valued here as residents.. we hope you don't treat your office staff the way you treated us LIKE A BURDEN..my fellow yelpers you have been put up on game of "my experience here" so rent here at Timberlake Apts or "80 on Gibson" or whatever it's gonna b called at your own risk, you have been warned... ---update--- 5/9/16- I followed up with leasing office hoping to get some solace and reprieve from the horrible service we have Experienced up to this point on an extenuating maintenance issue. Spoke with the leasing agent present at the time and maint Mgr, and reiterated the lack of attention for over a month now. He promptly inspected the damage and apologized for the issue not being addressed previously and the order being "closed" when it was clearly never addressed or completed in the apt. The Maint Mgr made a few telephonic arrangements for repairs to be made this week. We shall see, I'm keeping in mind "this too shall pass".. I'll update on this issue later this week, hopefully maintenance can get it together and redeem some credibility
