This rating should really be a 3.5, but Yelp doesn't have that option yet!!
Ambience and service: 4

I rounded up because the service exceeded my expectations in every way. Very attentive, friendly waitress. The manager checked back several times, refilling beverages and striking up conversation--all very friendly and welcoming. Drinks were always full and I never had to ask for anything--very impressive, especially for a sports bar.
Unfortunately the food is good, but not great. I ordered a slice of happy hour pizza ($1.50 plus .50 each additional topping) which was quite good and I'm a pizza snob. I highly recommend the shrimp skewers off the appetizer menu--delicious! But they come on a bed of way-too-greasy and overfried onion rings. The fish and chips were also very greasy, with thin, unsatisfying fries. I guess this is what one should expect at a sports bar, but I'm a dreamer who keeps hoping that someone will get inspired and offer the best of both worlds.
