  • I am no expert when it comes to Turkish food but I will say this is probably some of the best in Pittsburgh! When you first walk in you can't help but notice the atmosphere and ambiance. There are many little details that make you feel right at home (a Turkish home.) From the decor to the lighting to the people working, you almost feel as if you are no longer in Pittsburgh! I spent an hour on yelp prior to going just so I had an idea of what I wanted to eat when I arrived. Once I got there and started looking at everyone else's food I got thrown in a loop, everything looked so delicious! I decided to get the baba ganoush to start off with. It came out picture perfect with some of the best pita bread I have ever had. It was warm, moist and an absolutely perfect combination with the baba ganoush. I was also offered a free glass of wine after I checked in so be sure to take advantage of that! As for my meal I decided to get the mixed hot grill appetizer. It was exactly what I wanted! Everything was so delicious and some of the items were completely new to me. I also picked at some other food off of the plates of the people I was with. I tried a chicken Mediterranean salad and lamb shanks. Everything, again, was incredible. At the end of my meal I ordered a Turkish coffee (I've heard so many amazing things about it) and the baklava dessert. The coffee came out in a tiny cup and was packed full of flavor. I had her add a dash of cream and sugar during the brewing process since you cannot do so afterwards (it is very small, sprt of like an espresso) the coffee came with 2 turkish delights which left my taste buds dancing in my mouth! Now for the Baklava, OH MY GOD!!! it was hands down some of the best I have ever had. It was melt in your mouth amazing!!! I would simply go back just for the coffee, turkish delights and baklava! Overall I was blown away by this place. The owners were walking around making sure everything was perfect. The servers were tentative, kind and very professional. I honestly have nothing even neutral to say about this place. 5 stars across the board. Will definitely be returning!
