I have always loved Genna's, in particular when the upstairs bar is open. The upstairs bar is usually quieter and feels more intimate to me. The drinks are hit and miss. Usually hit, though. My husband and I stopped here before his birthday dinner the other night for a pre-dinner drink and our Manhattans were far too cherry-flavored for our liking. Had a taste reminiscent of cough syrup. I think we'll stick to simpler drinks or bloody Mary's (they make a good one!) in the future. The bartender was very nice and the ambiance is great. As I mentioned, I am pleased with my drink 9/10 times and I'm always happy with the vibe as long as the upstairs bar is open or it's outdoor-seating weather. Guess I don't love sitting in the busy lower bar.
