Short story: Great food, great prices, friendly waitress/waiters.
Long story: First impressions walking in- very artsy and colorful decor. Super cute little cafe. I took a couple pics of the ceiling tiles that had each little square painted differently. The bar had twinkle lights strung across.
The waitress was very nice and even the bus boy came by to refill our coffees. Good service. Prices are pretty standard for a nice breakfast place. Good size portions. The coffee was good as well, and I'm picky with my coffee. I like it strong so if you serve me weak coffee it's not worth drinking. This coffee was pretty good.
I didn't feel like ordering a whole meal so I ordered a side of bacon and a side of grits. The bacon was perfectly crispy without being burnt and had good flavor. The grits - this is why we came here to begin with. Our family we were staying with raved about their grits so we had to try them before heading back home. I'm not typically a grits fan but these were so creamy! I feel like they may have cream cheese blended in or something! I would eat these all the time if I lived here.
My husband ordered an omelet. That's his go to and it was pretty standard as most are but good sized. I tried a piece of his biscuit just because I felt obligated given the name of the cafe. I didn't care for it but to be fair I'm not a biscuit lover to begin with. Everyone else liked them. Would come back here again.
