  • It's been a number of years since I've been to the Playhouse. Staffed by performers and support personnel from Point Park University, today we watched them perform O Henry's "The Gift of the Magi". They did the shorter version...about a hour. Wonderfully done, by an enthusiastic and very talented troupe! You could sense the joy they had in performing, and it was very entertaining for both me and my rather cynical 11 year old son. If there is any criticism to be had for the Playhouse, it's that they need to spruce and spice up their adjoining cafe, where the limited fare was matched by their lackluster attendant. Great performance, though...bravo, thespians!
