  • F U, Progressive. I have never heard of an insurance company that charges you to cancel your policy early. Any time I have canceled for any reason with other insurance companies, I have received a nice check in the mail for the remainder of the policy. Not Progressive. I canceled our motorcycle insurance a whole month early because we sold the bike. I got an email back from Progressive stating that they are charging us a $30 cancellation fee. Wha?? $30 to cancel a $250/year policy, with only one month left? I called & spoke to a robotic, non-apologetic customer service rep who stated that the $30 fee stands & they will be sending me a final bill. I'm pretty sure that bill will get "lost in the mail" cuz there's no way I'm paying it. BTW I hate Flo, too.
