| - I've been a member of CrossFit UV for a while now, so it's time for an update! As you can see, I still love this place.
Now that I've been through a bunch of workouts, I can say that I'm very happy with what we're doing. The gym has teamed up with Warrior Programming to provide us with structured and challenging programming. The workouts vary in intensity, but more often than not they will push your limits.
Great programming means very little though without intelligent coaching. Thankfully, UV has both. The coaching is backed by experience, and is delivered in a receptive manner. Equally as important, the main coach quickly becomes in tune with your athletic capability, then motivates you accordingly so that you approach your boundaries, then overcome them.
Beyond the training, UV has one of the best gym communities that I've personally encountered. The members are welcoming, as well as motivated towards their goals (especially considering how much CrossFit tends to cost). Furthermore, the gym holds social events that bring the members together for something beyond fitness. It's a great community to be part of.
Lastly, in my previous review I mentioned how the gym was looking to add equipment as things progressed, and that is still the case. A good number of accessory equipment has already come in, and further goodies are on the way to accommodate the growing membership. Dumbbells will also be coming in at some point.
I would definitely suggest trying out a couple workouts to get a feel if CrossFit, weightlifting, and gymnastics are something that you're interested, because CrossFit UV does it right!
