I rented a one way minivan from Phoenix to Denver for a trip with kids and grandkids - about a week. Rental was waiting for me - camping out of the van was a great experience for all. Only glitch was a bit of miscommunication about adding my son as additional driver. He needed to come in person with his drivers license, and I was told otherwise by phone rep prior to trip, and then received conflicting info on where we needed to go to get him added. (His flight came in later, so I picked up van and then picked him up - so had to go back to car rental office to add him as driver). A very minor inconvenience -- I love being able to pick cars using Emerald aisle. National is often not the least expensive, but I have had long waits and other bad experiences with the cheaper rental places in the past. National has never failed me on multiple trips.
