  • A new addition to the Springs Preserve is Boom Town 1905. The Springs Preserve has done an outstanding job of creating Boom Town 1905. The project incorporates four original homes that have been restored to the 1905 era. The streetscape also includes a reconstructed train station and several businesses, a bank, Lincoln Hotel, Majestic Theater, mercantile store, and the Arizona Club. One of the homes is open for tours and also has a vegetable garden with produce from back in the day. All of the commercial buildings are open for self guided tours. Boom Town 1905 exhibit is located on the north side of the Nevada State Museum. However there is no entrance from museum area. To enter Boom Town you walk southeast from the Springs Preserve entrance and then north along the route used by the rubber tire train. As an alternative the train ride is available for an additional charge. Don' miss seeing the Boom Town exhibit.
