| - Two of us came to this Vietnamese restaurant to grab an early dinner inside the Mekong Plaza. The atmosphere was quiet, casual, and unassuming. The clean, modern interior was horizontally arranged with wall-to-wall paintings and natural lighting coming through the windows.
The Nem Nuong Cuon ($4.95) came with pork sausage, fried bread stick, and fresh veggies wrapped in rice paper. The roll tasted fresh, with the centrality of fatty pork flavors coming through to couple with good textures from the veggies. It was a solid choice, but not the best or the most affordable when value was taken into consideration.
The Com Ca Nuong ($11.25) came with grilled two fillets of tilapia, pickled veggies, a bowl of soup, and steamed rice. The price was too high when compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The selection of the fish was not the best, and the seasoning was overpowering and salty. Thankfully for the bowl of soup that helped to balance the taste buds. I don't recommend it.
Service was hands-off but attentive and friendly when we needed them. Overall, their prices were higher than most places I have been, and the presentation and quality did not justify the higher mark up. Since many Yelpers have raved about their pho and other noodle items, I would be interested in coming back and give them another chance.
