  • I'm so frustrated with my most recent experience at Zen Nails. I made an appointment for an SNS manicure (usually a $30 service without tips). When I got there, 3 different technicians came to take me back, all to be told they had an appointment with someone else. I was moved to a difference seat twice before a girl finally sat down with me. I wasn't offered a drink, while the 2 ladies sitting beside me were drinking wine. Even though there are signs on the tables saying "Do Not Speak Vietnamese While With Your Client", my technician spoke nothing but Vietnamese the entire time I was there. She hardly made eye contact with me, hardly even looked at what she was doing in fact. Despite my repeated requests for shorter nails, she didn't clip or file me. The tools that she used weren't clean, despite me seeing an autoclave in the back of the spa. Then once the powder was set, she applied oil and told me I was done. No massage, lotion, cuticle care or anything. I went up front to pay and was charged $45 (?!?!?!). Such a disappointment. It seems as though if you're not a "regular" there, they don't give you the time of day.
