  • Cedar Fair announced today that they will be closing this awesome waterpark down the last operating day will be September 5th 2016! This is the last remaining part of what once was the biggest amusement park on the on the planet Geauga Lake that opened in 1887 and closed in 2007! Geauga Lake this park and other surrounding area were also pretty much where the whole Sea World thing really began. The land these parks are on have changed hands quite a few times over the years as some of who owned it were Six Flags, Sea World, and currently Cedar Fair the one who is selling it off to community development :( Sad to see this happen as this park was on my list to visit next summer as it would have been cool to be able to have gone back to what once was a really awesome water park in a land that's super rich in the history of parks!
