  • A very close friend of mine banks at ABT-Arizona Bank and Trust. He recently had an accident and his car was totaled. He doesn't make a lot of money and so after renting a car for over 2 weeks so he could keep working he secured pre-loan approval at ABT, found a car he could afford, communicated the vehicle info to the bank and set an appt at the Camelback branch having the vehicle owner meet us there to complete the transaction. Because of a misunderstanding with the bank regarding the allowable miles on a used vehicle we hit a brick wall at the bank when we learned that the loan had fallen out of underwriting because of the mileage. We were in a real pickle. The rental costs were piling up, we had the vehicle owner and his wife at the bank with the car and a signed & notarized title and we didn't have a completed loan. UGH! We spoke with personal banker Brent who explained there was nothing he could do but understanding our situation he was willing to escalate to the bank branch manager Earl. Earl was equally understanding and apologetic but explained his hands were also tied. Nevertheless seeing the tough place we were in Earl escalated to bank officer Ken who went way out of his way by personally calling the loan underwriters and was able to get the loan approved and funded, AMAZING! We had to come back the next day to sign docs since it was too late to get it done that day. We are EXTREMELY satisfied and would HIGHLY recommend bringing your banking business to good old fashioned customer focused Arizona Bank and Trust!!! Our special thanks to Brent, Earl and Ken!!
