  • Had eight different installers come to the home to give estimates when we needed to replace our air conditioner. This was the one and only installer who was completely honest about their pricing, did not engage in any ridiculous high-pressure sales tactics, did not lie about phony rebates that purportedly expired that day to pressure me into signing a purchase contract on the spot, and most importantly, did not try to gouge me with a ridiculous mark-up on their goods and services. In the end, I did not purchase from Custom Cooling as I was able to get a better deal buying direct from an internet wholesaler, doing some of the work myself, and hiring an HVAC technician to do the remaining work on an hourly basis. However, if I were going to pay retail to have an installer do all of the work, this is the single company out of all of those who came to my home that I would consider using. In fact, their price quote was close enough to the internet price that I did seriously consider buying from them and paying a little more for a factory equipment and labor warranty on the work. In the case of many other installers, their quoted prices were so ridiculous that I could have bought and installed two new a/c systems from an internet wholesaler for the price of the single quoted system.
