  • Me and my family are currently mid-stay as we are Las Vegas locals (sans our A/C unit temporarily) and found a great deal for last night and tonight on the mobile app Hotel Tonight & initially, our stay was decent. The room wasn't super funky to the naked eye, the beds didn't leave us with near inoperable alignments this morning, and the guest service staff was super accommodating with joining our bookings so as to not see us have to move rooms for the two separate nights; but the day otherwise as it has progressed has left us continuously disappointed in Flamingo's staff & service. First things first, I made mention to the manager that this morning, two security "officers" at the pool very condescendingly and abrasively told me and my husband that we could not bring our kids to the adult pool - this is of no issue, but the way the young men spoke to us as parents was unnecessary, one was yelling as we were still feet away - causing others on line to draw attention - to say that we could not use the pool. He went into no detail, but then his colleague directed us with less than thrilling description, "You can see that staircase over there...well, no you can't. Well, you can imagine...there are stairs over there...and you cross the bridge..." rather than taking any time to exhibit courtesy to us as hotel guests. Obviously we want our young children swimming where it's appropriate, but what should be more obvious is that it's not obvious which pool is which if you haven't been here before - and more obvious even still, is that we should be treated with kindness and talked to with respect & consideration. The manager, who made minimal eye contact during my description of what occurred and explanation that my intent of making her aware was not to have my already cheap booking compensated, gave a halfhearted apology with a suggestion to have the manager over security call my room. Not sure why I would need to relay my message a third time to someone in order for it to get across to the young men security guards that they need to treat people with respect whether they're toting children or not? But that phone call never came either way. So they will likely be embarrassing other parents again in the near future, which I find an utter shame & disgraceful of Caesars Entertainment to condone or handle half-heartedly. Secondly, because of the mix-up in our HT booking, our room wasn't cleaned. Since I'm aware that the cleaning people are grossly underpaid, I made no stink - just exchanged towels and switched our garbages myself...which proved disturbing...as pictured, you'll notice that behind my garbage can in the bathroom - were clumps of hair from an emptied trimmer & neither me nor my husband had shaved yet today, let alone emptied hair trimmings. This is BY FAR the most disgusting excuse of a 'once over' in the bathroom that I have ever encountered in all of my hotel experiences. Not a hair, but piles of hair trimmings that had missed the garbage can and never been tidied up. We won't be staying a 3rd night regardless of our A/C situation at home, this has been an abomination and a true tactless experience for my family. One star is a gift given (you're welcome, CE), families stay away!
