  • In the beginning, Patrick was great. We hired him last year to handle the bookkeeping, accounting and corporate/HST taxes for our small business. However, not long after he started working with us, things began to slide. He was unable to keep our books up to date or accurate and kept pushing us off for his other clients. We tried to be understanding, but it was incredibly unprofessional. As we got further and further behind, it really began to affect our business because we couldn't make solid financial decisions. We had no financial data! Our accountant had completely fallen off the map! The person we trusted the most with our most precious part of the business was useless to us. We thought our finances were fine (based on what we could see in Quickbooks, that should have been current) and made a purchase decision that has now come back to haunt us, and jeopardize the stability of the company. Patrick was supposed to do our 2015 taxes (corporate, personal and HST). He got the personal ones done, but never provided us the paperwork for our records. He *started* on the corporate taxes, but never filed them OR the HST. It is now August 2016 and he has not filed ANYTHING for our company! It should have been done in December 2015. We now have penalties to pay to the CRA due to his negligence, and also higher fees from our new accountants to try and sort out his mess. We have been so flexible and understanding with "KH Financial" and Patrick, however since December he has not been communicating with us at all. He doesn't respond to emails or phone calls anymore. We are desperate to get our finances in order because he basically ruined our company with his negligence. We trusted him. If he couldn't handle our business he should have told us much sooner, and cooperated with our new accountants rather than ghosting us like a bad date. We are incredibly disappointed in him and his services. I didn't want to have to write this review, but it's just gotten to that point. I cannot in good conscience recommend Patrick Payne or KH Financial for any kind of business or personal service.
