Took my son for a follow up check and found out Dr. Weber is the only available doctor that day. I already had a bad experience with her but since my son is teething and noticed a pus behind his 2 front teeth, we needed to see a doctor.
She came in and I explained that he is teething. That his mouth smells really bad. That I noticed a pus behind his 2 front teeth and it bleeds when I brush his teeth and sometimes when he eats.
First thing I noticed, she didn't washed her hands and put some gloves on before she examined my son. She then left the room to get something and when she came back, that time, she put some gloves on and checked my sons mouth again. She then told me that IT'S NORMAL to have pus since he is teething and it will just go away until the teeth comes out just give it 7 to 10 days. But I said it smells really bad and it's a pus, it might be an infection. She then told me it's not an infection, it's normal, nothing to worry. She advised me to keep giving him tylenol or motrin. We left the office knowing she diagnosed my son correctly.
That night, my son didn't slept at all. He was cranky and in pain. Didn't want to eat or drink because of the pain he experiencing. So I took him to another pediatrician to get a second opinion since Dr. Mendoza is fully booked. Right then and there they told me it's infection and prescribed antibiotic for my son. They said the infection can go to his heart if not treated asap. Plus, presence of pus is always a sign of infection, period!
Dr. Weber is not a reliable doctor. I'm so sad she belongs in this group. So sad that she might do the same thing to other patients. Will never go back again. Very scary experience.
