Had an a-okay stay at the Hard Rock while on a work trip to Vegas. Now, smoky lobbies with loud music are *not* my thing, especially after a day of work. I do realize though that this is the Vegas standard and what's to be expected, especially at the Hard Rock. Here's a quick breakdown of the good and not-so-good:
THE GOOD:
+ Super clean, spacious room. The view was nothing to write home about, but I appreciated how quiet it was.
+ Pretty good weeknight rates! The check in and check out process was easy peasy.
+ Parking is free here. I didn't have a car with me on this trip, but the free parking sitch made things convenient for my coworker to pick me up or drop by to get some work done.
+ Lots of restaurant and bar options in the lobby! I had a pretty good brunch at Mr. Lucky's and coffee and a donut at the Dunkin Donuts. Very convenient!
THE NOT-AS-GOOD:
+ My electrical outlets were acting funky in the room and my phone actually died one night, causing me to *almost* miss my flight. Phew!
+ I wish there was a little coffee maker in the room. I'm a lady who needs coffee ASAP upon waking up, and schlepping into the loud lobby first thing in the morning in search of caffeine just didn't sound appealing.
+ Calling a Lyft or an Uber? Get ready to walk way over to the other side of the hotel to a specific garage. I felt safe heading there alone in the daylight to catch a ride to the airport, but would take caution if you're a lady and alone at night.
