  • Pancho's es fabuloso! The hostess greeted our group of four with cheer. My son was mesmerized with the suspended shark which decorates the 21 and older bar area, but were able to capture a photo of the two of them together. Our Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas, shopping in Downtown Summerlin, was thoroughly enjoyed with Mexican sumptuousness. Miguel our server managed a magnificent job with us. He split our order of an Ensalada de Camarones con Miel. The greens and jicama were fresh, cool and crispy. The mango slices were sweet and abundant. He recommended an accommodation to the Children's Menu for us when I requested a side order of one grilled chicken breast (similar to the chicken breast available for the salad). He replaced the Chicken Tenders entrée with a marinated, grilled and cut chicken breast, with a side of pinto beans de la holla and rice (with a cilantro pesto). Children's Plates served with rice, beans, or fries children 12 years and under. The bean choice are the whole pinto bean cooked in a pot, black beans, or traditional refried beans. Also, there are two types of rice of choice. Each of our meals were accompanied with a fresh, fruit bowl appetizer including watermelon, apple, pineapple and cantaloupe chunks. Crisp chips were paired with a red, zesty tomato salsa. There are several reasons for Pancho's to be a kid-friendly restaurant. The women's bathroom has a changing table. The décor is festive and fun. Music plays lightly in the background and on designated evenings there is live music. I am looking forward to mariachi music perhaps the middle of September! A child's dinner includes a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Chocolate milk is a drink option. For Pancho's to gain one more star from me, I would like to see organic and free-range options on the menu. Also, the emphasis on local produce would be a nice addition to community support. And since I am always reaching for the stars, I would like to find a restaurant where patrons can watch tortilleros hard at work while enjoying an authentic Mexican meal.
