Wait till you hear our experience here today! We took a battery in to replace it. We were unlucky enough to have Cara "assist" us. She asked us for our phone number to look us up in their system. I asked if there was still any time left on the warranty for the old battery? Cara said "no, it expired last year". I looked at the screen and said "that can't be right. It says we bought it in 2007....the car is a 2012." She said "that's what it says." I told her it didn't make sense that we'd bought it in 2007 when the car didn't even exist then. Why would we buy a battery for a car 5 years before we OWNED the car?" Again, she shrugged her shoulders and said "that's what it says." Wow....impressive, no?
It occurred to us (not HER, who works there every day) that maybe it was listed under another number for us. Using a different phone number, she located the correct battery (which showed a 2014 purchase) and said "there might be some warranty left on it" and then, said nothing else at all! I asked well, how we could find out??? She was then prompted to look it up and said yes, it was still under warranty.
Our experience with Cara was the worst I've ever seen here. We like this Auto Zone but Cara has zero interest in assisting customers and came across as unmotivated and uninspired. If it said something in the computer, well, that was it; Cara couldn't think beyond that on her own. Still shaking my head over her insisting that we'd bought this battery 5 years before the car was even manufactured because "that's what it says (in the computer)." Really???
