We went to diamond bakery the night before our wedding day to order a wedding cake. We wanted to order the cake over the phone but they would not take phone orders or internet orders.
We should have known there was trouble to come when the nice lady at the counter told us that the cake had to match a photo because "the people in the back don't speak much English".
We chose our cake based on a beautiful design in a photo book. We explicitly asked for All fresh strawberry filling and paid additional money to get that filling as well pay for delivery.
The cake was delivered. The design was exactly as we ordered. The filling, however, was some kind of a pineapple or fruit cocktail filling. We were very disappointed. This was our wedding day and we were disappointed to have the wrong filling.
I called the lady and she went to the kitchen where they denied using the wrong filling. I asked her if I could email a photo of the open wedding cake but she mentioned they have no computer and we would "need to come in." We do not live in Vegas so we cannot come into the bakery with a photo. Not that any money can undo getting the wrong wedding cake.
We are very disappointed. We should have gone to a "name" bakery to ensure getting exactly what we ordered. $380 may not sound like a lot for a 3-tier wedding cake but you get what you pay for.
