A little taste of Asia is what this is. Never mind the fact it's in an old building in the heart of Chinatown. With flavours like taro and pandan, I really felt like it wasn't - 15 with snow on the ground outside.
The yellow fever was mango and stuff, the owner (I'm assuming) suggested toasted coconut. Oh. My. God. This added the extra crunch that complemented the whole dish.
Purple Haze was real taro mixed with taro flavoured ice milk. Very deelish, even my friends who've never had taro loved it.
For $7.50 you get a good amount of ice cream with whipped cream.
I think this is a different type of ice cream than marble slab. It's more of an ice milk, akin to Dairy Queen.
Can't wait to go again, this actually added a "pro" to my "Move to Calgary or Not" list.
