Please do not take your animals to this horrible run pet hospital!!! We have had our dog for over 2 years and have always had him on the puppy wellness plan or the wellness plan. So over the 2 years we have taken him to about 4 different banfields. Every time we drop our dog off its a great experience. We usually get checked in they tell us where he is at with all of his shot and check ups and than the doctor will come out to talk to us if we have any concerns or questions. That's what usually happens and it's amazing service.
Here is what happened at this shotty money grubbing pet hospital. We walk up and no one is even at the front desk. We wait for about 10 min after being told 5 times some one would b right with us. Than a rude lady comes up to the desk and has no idea why we r here with our dog even though we made the appointment a month ago. And my dogs name is in huge bold letters on the white board behind her. Next she proceeds to give us a check list of additional add on charges that we have done with our dog if we want. We ask about 2 different item on the list that gain she has no idea about. 1 was getting the micro chip in our dog and she honestly told us she had no more pamphlets about it. My girlfriend walked to the huge wall right next to this lady and grabbed 4 different pamphlets about chipping the dogs. The lady was very friendly I'll give her that but she obviously did not have here head in the job.
So after leaving r dog there we r supposed to get a call in about 3 to 4 hours to come pick him up. We never get a call..so we end up calling and they put me on hold for 15 mins. Than they come on the phone and tell me my dog is having liver problems and it's not functioning like it should. They scare the heck out of me and tell me they need to run a extra panel of tests to make sure he is ok. I asked how much and was quoted 45 dollars. Than they keep my dog for almost another 6 hours. We do not even get to see him again until almost 6 pm at night. We dropped him off at 9 in the morning and it was only supposed to b a few hour stay. Than when I get to the great front desk lady again she hands me a bill for 180$ almost 100 bucks more that they had quoted me. I start going over the list and they charged us for 2 of the items we did not even select on the checklist. Then the lady starts arguing with me and tells me my girlfriend checked these boxes so I ask for the checklist and big surprise no checks in any of the boxes. Than I ask for some information about my dogs liver after they called us and told us it was failing. And I asked for some more info on the micro chip. She told me to ask the doctor when she comes out. The Dr. Does not even room us she just walks our dog out and hands him to us and says bye. I stop her to ask about the liver tests and the chip and she tells me she is very busy and has her one foot literally in the door trying to get away from me. I start to ask can I at least have some information about what the heck going on with my dog and the doctor tells me to get that info from the front desk lady. Lol she does not even know their r pamphlets about everything directly behind her. So I ask anyways and shocker she know nothing and can give me little to no Information. So I leave very upset. We get home and receive a call from the pet hospital telling us that they forgot to go over and give us all his paperwork about the chip and his liver test! They said they were very sorry and they were just way to overbooked today and thats y they did not give us this info while we were there. Really r you kidding me! So I go back the next day and get his paper work and they still try to put the heartworm pills in my bag even though we went over this twice already on the checklist. I look at the bill and see they still charged my girlfriends card the extra 60 $ for the pills we said repetitively did not need. I again asked to speak with the doctor who refused to see me cause she was too busy. So on the third trip back to get my money back on the card the front desk lady does not even say sorry for over charging us but acts rude like we did something wrong. I again ask on my dogs test and she still knows nothing about it and says they will call within 2 days with results. 6 days go by and finally we get a call saying his test were all normal and he is fine.
Wow! If u love and care for your pet please take them anywhere but here. And if u look at the other review they constantly over charge, try to scare owners with serious sounding problems so they can do more tests, they front desk workers r rude and incompetent, and they even room or call you back with updates. Terrible in every respect. We will never go here again and will constantly tell people to avoid this horrible run pet hospital. Shame on you Banfield! How could you even put your name on this money scamming scare tactics pet hospital.
