This place is at the base of south mountain. This restaurant has a great ambiance and fabulous views of the mountain and the city. Our waiter, Raymond was excellent and very attentive.
My husband and I ordered the trout since it was recommended and popular. He said it was wild caught and shipped from Norway or "something", don't think so. Anyway, all the dishes come with unlimited salad bar (very minimal selection) and baked beans for the table. Everyone else is al a carte; corn on the cob, baked or mashed potatoes. My fish was way too salty and my husband's was too fishy. Another person in our group said his filet mignon was not very good.
We loved the rustic, cowboy atmosphere and the friendly staff, but we were not too crazy about the food.
Although we are glad we got to try out a new place! Sounds like this place has been around for along time! Hope they up the menu a bit and have a better selection next time.
Thanks for having us!
