  • I have eaten at Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao restaurants for the last 15 years, including the Fairfax VA Texas location as recently as August 2016 which was a great visit. This visit to the Westlake location was extremely disappointing....from the caipirinhas to the meat. We ordered 2 caipirinhas and when they arrived, I noticed right away that the limes had just been put in the glass rather than being crushed (they were not even squeezed). I went to the manager and mentioned this and he came over to the table so that he could see the drinks. He agreed that they were not made correctly and offered to make new ones. I told him that we would drink them but that I wanted him to know there was an issue. I then saw him go over to the bar and talk to the bartender. We ordered another round later in the meal and they still were not made properly. Again, I brought i t to the mangager's attention and offered to make new ones which was not the point of bringing the issue to his attention. The fact that he discussed it with the bartender and that is still was an issue is not acceptable. As for the meat, the waitress made a point of saying the meat was brought "medium rare" and I mentioned that I wanted mine medium. The gauchos repeatedly brought medium rare (with much actually being rare) and when I asked for medium it took too long to arrive (the restaurant was not that crowded). I mentioned it to the waitress and manager which helped a little but some was still to rare. At this point, I gave up on eating any more of the meat and gave up bringing it to managment's attention (in fact, I didnt see the manager for the last 30 minutes we were in the restaurant and he was not around when we left). Another issue, although minor, was the fact that this location did not offer Caesar dressing. This is the first location where Caesar dressing was no t served. As a high end churrascaria, I expect the Texas de Brazil experience to be the same at each of your locations...this was simply not the case. If this had been my first visit, I would surely never return based upon the experience at the Westlake location. When you spend approximately $175 before tip for three people, the service and food should warrant the cost. This location has been open since February 2016 so I would expect it to meet the quality that I expect when visiting one of your locations. Needless to say, I will not be visiting this location when I visit I friends in Westlake, as it does not represent the quality I have experienced at your other locations.
