  • I have rented a lot of cars, so I am able to enjoy the Executive Emerald level benefits now. (Join this free program - it is great to pick your own car at any level of membership). But, I flew into CLT still anticipating a painful rental experience due to the airport issues going on anyway. BOY WAS I SURPRISED! The new National Emerald Aisle location is right inside the ramp entrance as you come across from baggage claim. How much more convenient can it get? Hurray! The gentleman who greeted me was friendly and when I asked for his "best car available" recommendation, he was happy to steer me to a great car. He was sincerely interested in my satisfaction! I want to say his name was "Cooper?" I should have followed my instinct and written it down so I could be sure to give him a shout out rather than depend on my aging memory! The close location was super nice when returning the car, as well. I just jumped out, grabbed my suitcase, and rolled right up to security to board my flight. No wait. No hassle. No long crowded and hot shuttle ride with anxious fellow passengers.
