rev:text	My go to air condoning company could not come out until the following day so I contacted Best Air. They gave me Fast service and were very nice, however told me my compressor was shot and it would be $3500 to fix and it wouldn't arrive until Tuesday (it was Thursday evening). I panicked being I have animals and my rabbit cannot live in conditions over 80 degrees and it's summer in Vegas. I asked how much for a whole new condenser since he could get it and install it the next day. He quoted me $4970. I literally almost did it since I was desperate at the moment, but since he couldn't do it the same night I decided I would contact my go to company and see what they would charge. My go to came out the following day and said a new compressor would be $1950, still way less than $3500 I was quoted by Best Air. I told them it intermittently started to work so he took a look and sure enough diagnosed it as being the condenser fan motor overheating causing the compressor to freeze up intermittently. Long story short the cost was $348.00 total. I am thrilled it's fixed, but angered that I almost fell for Best Air's scam which would have costed me $4970. They took advantage of my desperate state and were going to capitalize on it. Even if this was a mistake on their part by misdiagnosing the problem, $4970 is a HUGE mistake. Get a second opinion is my best advice to anyone reading this, it will save you thousands, literally!!! Oh and I got to pay $49 for their misdiagnosis. EDIT: After speaking with the company I truly believe it was a misdiagnosis and was not done with the intent to rip me off. It was an honest mistake however better diagnostic procedures need to be in place to prevent this from happening again. Even with the misdiagnosis taken out of the picture, I would still not rate them a 5 stars as they were nearly double the price for everything and would take 5x as long to fix the problem.. that said, they tried to resolve he issue respectfully and offered to give me back my 49$ fee. I only wrote this review to Let other people, like me, know to get second opinions no matter who you are dealing with.
