| - I love this shop. I stop in periodically to browse and shop. The last time I visited, they had a full stock of great winter gear at really affordable prices. Big thick mittens in bright colors, animal hats, scarves, you name it. I love this kind of stuff. I believe the big mittens were $12, which is really cheap compared to other places.
The clothes at Culture Shop are really adorable and well made. You can tell by touching them that they are quality. Unfortunately, none of them come close to fitting me. They are mostly one size, and that one size leans towards the small side. I still like to admire!
One of my favorite things in Culture Shop is their tapestry collection. There are tons in varying price ranges that are absolutely stunning. I basically want them all.
The jewelry upfront is always nice to look at, but I question the quality a bit. They say that the jewelry comes from the owners private collection that they picked up in Nepal, India, etc, but I don't know if it's really as romantic as they say. My boyfriend bought me a beautiful ring with two elephants that was supposed to be sterling silver, but it wasn't pure. When buying jewelry here, ask a lot of questions like "What is the purity of this piece?" "If it's not all silver/gold/etc, what metal is mixed with it?"
The staff here is generally pretty friendly, but sometimes they can make you feel uncomfortable because they will follow you around. I understand why they do it, it's just really bothersome.
Overall it's worth stopping by to check stuff out. I guarantee you will walk out with something lovely!
