I picked up some Brisket and beef ribs from YinzBurgh about a week ago. I did have YinzBurgh about a year or so prior to this review and it was OK, not the best, but far from terrible at that time. However maybe the word spreading and more customers have forced some oversight at the cooking stage. I am fairly picky about BBQ from growing up in TX and eating at many nationally rated BBQ joints. From the meal I had recently, YinzBurgh is far from getting credit on any real ranking list.
Both items (Brisket and Beef Ribs) were definitely cooked way too fast (hot) which is a common mistake when BBQ restaurants see an increase in customers and try to keep up with demand. All the connective tissue had not rendered, so it was tough, lacking flavor and very stringy. The ribs were highly over salted and also were very fatty from expedited cooking. Definitely not going back.
