  • I chose Top Shoe Repair for convenience. I've worked Uptown for many years and have had them replace my heels at least four times before. I've never been satisfied with the service; different pricing almost every single time, quality of the replacement and the customer service is never welcoming. Always feels like I'm bothering them with my business. My most recent experience is the reason I will not go back and the reason for this review and one star rating. Right after Christmas 2017 I took a pair of Maganni Boots in for repair. They needed new soles and heels. I was told it would be two weeks before I could get them back which seems unreasonable considering they had everything on site, I asked if they could turn around sooner and agreed to 7 days. When I came back in 7 days the boots where in the same spot on the counter as when I dropped them off. Top Shoe Repair was unbothered and none too concerned. It is worth noting that every time I'm in the shop there are no additional customers and the owners/ workers are sitting down doing nothing, to that point I was told to come back in a few hours. I did, still not ready - and was told to give them until 4 PM. When I returned at 4 to pick them up I noticed a rush job and paste or color to hide some of the flaws. I left and thought to myself it would absolutely be the last time. I would return. Fast forward a few months and the right heel comes off my foot as I'm walking - I krazy glue it back on. I few weeks after that (today 4/05/2018) the left heel comes off and I don't know where or when so nothing to glue on. I go to the shop and attempt to explain, I wasn't looking for anything other than them adding a heel and sending me on my way. Top Shoe Repair starts to ring up $32 - I go into more detail about the whole experience questioning why they are even charging me. Null. I'm taking the boots to Nordstrom's at Southpark to have them repaired more professionally and with better customer service. No longer a matter of convenience. I will never return.
