| - CPI Security came to my home to install a security system. The technician drilled a whole in my foyer which hit a pipe that goes to my washer on the second floor. The water poured down the walls for 3-5 mins as the technician panicked to shut off the water valve. Apparently this has never happened before cause no one knew who to contact. Roto Rooter stop the leak and Serve Pro ripped a whole in my garage, holes in my baseboards, and attempted to dry my walls & floors for three days. After, three days walls were dry, but floors weren't. Mr. Walters asked Serve Pro to get their contractor in for an estimate. Mr. Walter's assured that the situation would be handled and fixed as quickly as possible. The first estimate was $18,500 (later lowered to $13,500) Mr. Walter's told the contractor that he wasn't going to pay to restore the whole floor (the reason the whole floor has to be replaced is because my floor is discontinued, they make the same color & same item number, but the profile changed so it wouldn't connect to my floors that are currently installed). I called Mr. Walter's the next day (May 3, 2018) and he said he needed two more estimates before he could set up the contractor for the repairs. He had someone he would set up for Monday, he'd give me a call back. Never heard from him. I called Walter's and he was out of town on vacation. I spoke to his boss, Darryl Parker. Parker told me nothing would happen until they received the estimates. I waited until May 8, 2018, and I contacted John the guy who sold me my alarm, he pulled a few strings and Michael called me that a second contractor wouldn't be coming. RC Jones Flooring arrived at my house, took measurements, and said he'd submit his estimate. He had an estimate and called Michael, Michael stated to RC Jones we are not paying for the whole floor, we are going to transition. RC Jones told them it wasn't right, it was unethical and I could take it to court and win, Mr. Walter's stated that CPI lawyers are better than mine. RC Jones called and told me about the transition (there are no transitions throughout my first floor) and refused to submit an estimate if they weren't going to restore to it's original form, which is the way I wanted it. I called John again and told him I didn't want nothing changed in my house, I just wanted the way it was the day he walked in. Darryl Parker called me again offering the transition to my hallway or to file a claim that they would cover the deductible and any increase in my insurance. I have no reason to file a claim regardless if they pay the deductible and annual increase, my insurance has NOTHING to do with this I didn't cause the damage , their technician did. Friday, Darryl called me offering me a check (i took it as a settlement check) from CPI for $1,200 to cover my deductible and one year increase annual fee, I said "NO" I'm not at fault, I'm not filing a claim . Later that Friday (May 11, 2018) Darryl called me proposing if he found a match to my floors would I be willing to go that route and I responded anything to get this over with and to get my house restored. That Friday, I asked about the estimates and why is he looking for floors if the original plan was to get three estimates, pick one, and get the repairs done. Today, almost three weeks later of the incident, Darryl Parker calls my to tell me he is aggressively looking for the floors online. He stated I'm just trying to do what's fair for both CPI and for you. I asked him, let's say you can't find them what happens? He told me you'll be forced to submit a claim. I didn't cause the damage, how is this fair? I regret changing from ADT. May 16, 2018 will be three weeks and my house is still in shambles. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with, unscrupulous & unethical. Stay away
