| - This review is for the French dip sandwich combo, Holy mother of mercy, it's was damn good!
I been to Philippe the Original and I'm a big fan of their Pork dip sandwich, that being said...Hometown has a nicer French dip than the originator of this famous sandwich. This combo was one the better things I ate this year, because I'm tasting the love their doing with a 8 hour roasted beef, and the thicker version of the IN n Out burger french fries. What sold me was the Au Jus they were using, and it was a more red than brown, and I could tell they we're using a red wine within the base....yup, I even drank the au jus after I was done with the sandwich.
I notice the owner has finally hired a bunch of people for Hometown Classic American Eats, and from what I found out he owns and runs the motel next to it too. So I have to give him the pass on my past review of this establishment because he is running harder than most business owners
Finally, everyone knows Henderson was once the fastest growing community in United States during the 90's, and early 2000's. Now, the city of Henderson is one of most diverse communities in Nevada, and I'm wondering why there still idiots who continue to call it Hendertucky? People get over it, we're all humans, and put on our pants one leg at a time.
On a lighter note, try this place out, and tell them the Japanese guy from Hawaii sent you there.
