| - Midtown Nails is the best.
Lisa has single-handedly (or maybe double-handedly) saved my hands. Without her, I am little more than an upper-twenty-something with bloody cuticles and stumps for nails. With her, I am...well, much more than that.
I have been getting manicures (with some frequency) all over this city and state for the better part of a decade, and Lisa is seriously the best. Her technique is, as far as my eyes can tell, flawless. Her work is so consistently flawless that it's mind-boggling. Surely, one of these times, (after seeing her every week for the last year and nearly once every two weeks for the years before that) there would be an imperfection - a fuzz in the paint, a rounded nail a bit too squared, or a neglected cuticle - but no. I obsess over details like that - and so does she. Less than perfect doesn't fly with Lisa, and I love that about her. Her staff is equally committed, skilled, and lovely!
And while she's an absolutely wonderful manicurist, she's an equally incredible human being. She's thoughtful, considerate and seems to somehow remember every person that walks through her shop's door. Seeing her every week is not only a blessing for the appearance of my hands and nails, but a blessing for me personally. I feel like she should be billing me for mental health benefits in addition to the manicure (fortunately for my wallet, she's not).
